Film Screening & Policy Dialogue
Policy Adda is an innovative and interactive event series by the Kautilya Society, RMLNLU, designed to make policy discourse more accessible, engaging, and culturally rooted.
Policy Adda merges the power of cinema with the depth of public policy discussion. Each edition features the screening of a carefully selected movie or documentary that highlights key social, legal, political, or economic themes.
How Policy Adda Works?

🎬 Movie Screening
A film related to a relevant policy issue, such as gender justice, criminal law reform, healthcare frameworks, public institutions, or digital regulation, is screened for students and participants.

🔍 Scene-Based Policy Discussion
After the screening, facilitators from the Kautilya Society lead a focused discussion by revisiting and showcasing key scenes from the movie.
These scenes are used as anchors to analyse:
- How the film represents real-world policy challenges
- What systemic issues or questions the scene raises
- How current Indian policies address (or fail to address) these concerns
- What alternate policy frameworks could look like

💬 Open Dialogue
Participants engage in an open-floor conversation, exchanging ideas, interpretations, and insights.
This format helps cultivate a deeper understanding of policy in a relatable, visual, and interactive manner.
Policy Adda blends entertainment with education, transforming cinema into a powerful tool for policy awareness, discussion, and critical thinking.
